The church of San Giacomo stands inside the park of Ibla and was built probably in the sixteenth century. The arcades of the chapels belong to the sixteenth century structure. The façade was rebuilt 1902. The ceiling in painted wood dates back to 1754 as well as the several pictures which decorate the side chapels. The statues of the Crucifix Chapel and the statue os Saint James located in the main altar were sculpted in the seventeenth century. ------------------------------------ La chiesa di S. Giacomo che sorge all’ interno del Giardino Ibleo, fu edificata probabilmente nel sec. XVI; della struttura cinquecentesca ci restano le arcate delle cappelle mentre la facciata fu ricostruita nel 1902. Il soffitto , in legno dipinto, risale al 1754 e alla stessa epoca risalgono i numerosi quadri che ornano le cappelle laterali ;seicentesche sono invece :le statue della cappella del “Crocifisso” e la statua del Santo Titolare (sec. XVII) posta nell’ altare maggiore. ------------------------------------ S.
