Fantasztikusan nagy élményt nyújtó, gyönyörű, mindenkit elkápráztató víz- és színjátékban lehet része a Placa de Espanyahoz ellátogató turistáknak. A táncoló, zenélő szökőkutak a zene ütemére változtatják színeiket, és formáikat. A zene a klasszikustól (Verdi, Strauss, Mozart) a modern, kortárs zenéig terjed. A show 15 perces, de nem baj, ha pont lemaradunk a kezdésről, hiszen 15 perc szünet után újrakezdődik. Érdemes fentről, lentről, középről, és több nézőpontból is megnézni az előadást. A fantasztikus látvány ráadásul ingyenes, így ez egy olyan látnivaló Barcelonában, amit nem szabad kihagyni. A szökőkút sok mással együtt, az 1929-es barcelonai világkiállításra, Carles Buigas tervei alapján épült, majd az 1992-es barcelonai olimpiai játékokra jelentős mértékben felújították.

One of the city’s most beloved attractions amongst both old and the young, the Magic Fountain is a spectacular show of light, color, and music which takes place around the fountain at the base of Montjuïc Hill, in front of the MNAC (National Museum of Catalan Art). Constructed in 1922, the fountain was built ahead of the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition but has undergone numerous upgrades throughout the years, including the addition of music in the 1980s ahead of the 1992 Olympic Games.

The entire Motnjuïc area is worth visiting, since it has an incredible number of monuments and attractions. There is the Montjuïc Magic Fountains and it's impressive choreography, which plays a few times per week depending on the season. Then there is the Olympic Stadium, the Montjuïc Castle, the Joan Miró Foundation, the Poble Espanyol and the Catalan Museum of National Visual Art. Keep in mind that the Montjüic is one of the two mountains in Barcelona city, the other one being the Tibidabo, so be sure to choose the most convenient method of transportation for you if you don't want to walk uphill.
