Since 1357, the Paris City Hall has been the seat of the Paris municipality. The current building, in neo-renaissance style, was rebuilt by the architects Théodore Ballu and Edouard Deperthes on the site of the old Hôtel de Ville, burnt down during the Paris Commune in 1871. It is possible to visit the Town Hall, place of power and prestige. Guided tours, by reservation, are organized by the Protocol Service. The visitor discovers in particular the Salle des Fêtes, designed as a replica of the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Large free exhibitions are also organized and are very successful.

A good-looking building. Sometimes it offers free exhibitions on the history of Paris and Parisians.
