This is a very close option making it a great morning or afternoon day hike in between relaxing by the river at Three Peak Cabin. It’s steep but only 1.4 miles up to the wooden structure Lookout, with views of Mt Baring and Mt Persus. The Lookout has 57 steps up. The Heybrook Lookout Trailhead is .4 miles from our front door, only .2 miles further East than us on Route 2.
