A very popular place to visit in the Shawnee National Forest. Has trails that wind around, above and below beautiful bluffs, cliffs and rock formations.

Great hike for beautiful far reaching views. The most famous place in our area. It is even depicted on the Illinois state quarter. At peak times it can be a rather busy location but the views are breathtaking. The main loop of the observation trail is a fairly short hike, but there are endless places to explore around the main trail. Please be safe while climbing the rocks. Falling is a risk that can be fatal in some places off of the main trail.

Not sure why but, the pictures on the title page are: Trigg Tower (large picture), Secret Cave (top small picture) and not sure of the bottom small picture. If you click on them it open up to Garden of the Gods pictures.
