Near Mdina, this is a museum with the remains of a Roman house. Might be interesting to visit if you are very interested in history.

Technically in 'Rabat', however just opposite the gate you can find this locality bustling with local charm. Previously the residence of a wealthy Roman aristocrat, this ancient townhouse, which is now a museum, houses intricate mosaic floors and several precious Roman remains which have survived for centuries.

This is a must see for history buffs - the place depicts Roman Life in Malta. The museum is very well laid out with viewing cabinets displaying various Roman artefacts and there is also plenty of information boards explaining in more detail of Roman life on Malta and how the Roman remains came to be discovered.

The Roman domus is a Roman-era house dating back to the last half of 2nd century BC. Its pavements incorporate mosaic compositions which are comparable to those of Pompeii and Sicily.
