A 10 minute drive south. Winemaker Chris, raised in Australia’s grape country, easily engages in conversation about wine. Must taste his Port and Late Harvest Zin. Wow! Let them know you’re at HHC.

Good small local winery with award winning Syrah, Zinfandel, and Port all made by Aussie Chris Loxton. He’s often hovering around and can tell you about the grapes they harvest and produce themselves--great way to learn about wines. Not as hard to get reservations. Fun fact: Chris is a former Physics PhD

Super small winery where often the owner/wine maker, Chris Loxton, does the tastings. They love educating their clients on wine and never make you feel awkward for not knowing much! Old world style wines at super reasonable prices. During harvest you can watch production in the front area without paying for a tour. (I don’t comment on quality of wine as it’s a subjective opinion.)
