Valley Pike or Valley Turnpike is the traditional name of the Indian trail and roadway that today is U.S. Route 11 in the Shenandoah Valley. This little museum room, inside the Hardesty-Higgins House Visitors Center, celebrates the history of the road and the growing settlements along its path. Stop in at the great Heritage Bakery & Cafe, also here. Parking is in the back.
