One Day in Soweto
Discover the history of Soweto, where political icons lived during Apartheid, fighting against the regime. Explore the everyday life, meet the locals, taste local cuisine and get an authentic experience with a Sowetan native guide. Start at the Hector Pietersen Museum and hear about the Soweto uprising that transpired in 1976, which was one the turning point of Apartheid. Be introduced to the famous house of Nelson Mandela in Vilakazi Street, built in 1945, where he lived until he was imprisoned for 27 years. Have a conversation about Arch bishop Desmond Tutu in the famous street in Vilakazi Street. Continue through Orlando East, the first formal settlement of Soweto and Orlando Stadium, Soweto football giants, the Orlando Pirate and ride a minibus taxi to the last stop at the Orlando Towers. Listen to the many personal stories about the family's generations, how apartheid had an impact in each and everyone of them and how Soweto has changed today. We’ll start out at Curiocity before heading to the Kwa Mai Mai Traditional Healers Market, the Collector’s Treasury (the largest second hand bookstore in Africa), the Carlton Centre (the tallest building in Africa), Chancellor house (where Madela and Tambo set up their law practice) and finish off at Little Addis (Joburg’s Ethiopian Quarter). The Collectors Treasure *The largest second-hand bookstore in the Southern hemisphere. There are books stacked everywhere, plus LP records, sheet music, maps, porcelain and postcards. Design a bespoke African print masterpiece with Caraci
Custom bomber jacket/ an African print clothing item experience - from concept to finished garment Explore and experience Johannesburg’s fashion district like never before. The Fashion Capital and the historical fashion square are located in the old Johannesburg city. The designer will walk with you to fabric shops in the inner city, where you will select a unique African print that you love from hundreds of options. You will then meet a member of his design team and have your measurements taken. You will collaborate with them on the creation of your custom jacket. The experience is paired with a photoshoot in the trendy neighbourhoods of Maboneng and Braamfontein, and a vlog video of the whole experience will be recorded and shared at the end (optional). 1. Choose a unique African print from one of our local fabric stores (fabric included). 2. Learn how to take body measurements for the making of clothing garments. 3. Cut the pattern and pieces for your custom bomber jacket or any other item made in African print (discuss with us via messages on the possibility) 4. Learn basic stitching and hand sewing in a practical lesson, while putting together your garment (expert studio assistants will guide you). 5. While you enjoy lunch, your bomber jacket will be completed by our assistants. 6. You'll star in a street photoshoot wearing your custom bomber jack
Johannesburg Nightlife Experience
Our Jo'burg Nightlife Experience is An Experience that offers the guest the ability to really explore Johannesburg's nightlife with local party people. The experience is divided into 3 parts which Offer guests a complete night of fun & good music. Part One: Pre-drinks and Sunset vibes to see Johannesburg from one of the local rooftops (Optional ) These parts start at 5 pm Part Two: Dinner every good night starts with a full stomach, we have dinner before stating the night and hitting the clibs this happens between 7 pm & 8:30 pm Part Three: Party Time!!!! We will be pub & Club crawling through the city from 9 pm to 2 am through the following areas in Johannesburg: Rosebank Greenside Parkhurst Melville Braamfontein Mabonang From 2 am the Nightlife experience ends but if you still wanna party to the sunrise we got you! We have two options for you from 2 am: 1) Stripclubs 2) EDM club NB) Entrance to all the spaces after 2 am is not included in the fee. These places close at 5 am in the morning. Please note that pick up and drop off is not included in the experience but we do offer to pick up and drop off at an additional price. however, we do recommend you take a drop-off because it is hard to get Ubers late at Night in the city. Our Experience is only a minimum age which is 21 anyone above 21 is welcome!!!

- the Orlando towers a Soweto land mark,its a old power station which is now a place of fun and creates jobs -we see Orlando the first township that received development in Soweto -we visit the Mandela house in vilakazi street, Nelson Mandela's house during his time in Soweto.after the visit at the house we walk on the famous street in Soweto vilakazi street is the only street in the world to have housed 2 Nobel peace laureates because Bishop Tutu also lived there -we also get to have lunch in Soweto there's a variety of township food -we make a stop at Hector Peterson museum and we learn about the Soweto uprising - you get to walk around the busiest market place in Soweto where there's a lot of street vendors. -Taste Soweto gold the beer which was born in Soweto. 1.The tour begins at Hector Peterson museum in the heart of Soweto it is easy to find when you type on the GPS or using uber. 2.We stop Nelson Mandela's house 3.we see Winnie Mandela house 4.Taste Soweto gold/you also get to taste ( umqombothi) the African traditional beer. 5.We have lunch 6.you get to experience the different classes of people in Soweto. Other things to note We will be walking wear safe shoes we will also be hoping on Soweto`s public transport. One Day in Jo'burg
Walk through the city centre and feel the bustle and hustle of the people, lifestyle and culture of Johannesburg. Visit Nelson Mandela's Law firm and discover gems. Meeting in Market Theatre, in Newtown, then move on to the Workers Museum, the last surviving municipal compound for African men in Johannesburg. Continue to Chancellor House, where Nelson Mandela and OR Tambo set up South Africa’s first black-owned law firm. Uncover Main Street, which offers some of the best architectural buildings in the city. Main Street will lead us to Gandhi Square, a busy urban hub of commercial and retail activity. From there, move on to the Top of Africa, inside the tallest skyscraper on the continent (temporarily Closed, till further notice). We will take local transport to Maboneng, an art district dedicated to young entrepreneurs for a BBQ Local lunch (vegan, vegetarian friendly).
Explore Johannesburg on a Skateboard - with a skate lesson
Our exciting and fun experience starts with a skateboarding lesson for first-timers/beginners which means that you don't need to know how to skateboard to join...we will teach you! Once done learning, we skate through the Maboneng Precinct (voted one of the world' coolest neighbourhoods, 2018) which is home to amazing street art and graffiti by both local and international artists such as Dbongz One (SA), Falko One (SA), Roa (BEL), DALeast (CHN) and Vhils (POR) to name a few! We then head off to see the city's origins in Marshalltown, where we see some of the city's oldest buildings and visit an underground bar built in an old bank vault from 1906 while learning about the non-racial "Kruger Liquour License" issued to select bars and what made it so special! We end off our experience in Newtown, which is home to the city's first ever multiracial cultural centre and has some of the city's best graffiti due to its association with street culture and the underground clubs found in the area! By the end of it all, you'll have a much better idea of the city of Johannesburg, it's history, what's going on now and why we love it so much...the best part of it all...you'll do it from the fun of a skateboard!
African Wildlife Safari Pilanesberg
Please note! This nature & outdoor safari experience is hosted from Johannesburg. If the scheduled date of the instance does not suite your requirement, please contact me via the Airbnb app to see if your preferred date for a safari may be available. I will collect you from your place of lodging at 6am (earlier or later if you prefer) and drive you in a closed air-conditioned vehicle to Pilanesberg National Park. I will be your personal guide during the safari and will share my expert knowledge on the Fauna and Flora as well as the iron age history within Pilanesberg National Park. The safari price includes a mid morning snack and soft drink, lunch, and an afternoon snack and soft drink. If you do not have your own camera, a digital camera with a 300mm zoom lens can be provided for your personal use during the safari. You will have access to all the pictures taken whilst on safari. You will be returned to your place of lodging after the safari has ended. NB! MY AVAILABILITY: (I could be flexible to accommodate you) I host several experiences on Airbnb. Walking in Soweto
We'll stop first at FNB Stadium, also known as Soccer City, before we make our way to the Welcome Sign of Soweto to take pictures at Diepkloof Soweto. Then off to the Diepkloof Migrant Workers Hostel will be next, to see how the migrant workers used to stay. We'll then go to the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, the third largest hospital in the world. We'll see Orlando Towers, which stand as the largest landmark of Soweto, and we'll take a little stop at the Hector Pierterson Museum to learn more about the student uprising which took place on 1976. We'll walk the famous Vilakazi Street, home of both Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela—the world's only two Nobel Peace Prize Winners to have lived on the same street. I'll take you to Credo Mutwa Cultural Village—Kwa khaya Lendaba and Ophenheimer tower. Credo Mutwa the traditional healer, renowned philosopher, and famous for some of the worlds deadliest predictions like the USA twin tower bombing and HIV and AIDS. We'll also go to Oppenheimer Tower for a 360-degree view of Soweto and get to climb the 49 steps of the tower being a symbol of the 49 townships and houses which the Ophenheimer family played a role in building in Soweto. Other things to note Wear proper walking shoes. Please pay with South African currency for bookings. Wear cloths in condition with the weather,backpacks as they come essential when shopping at local markets.

Street Photoshoot in Maboneng Precinct
We'll explore the The Maboneng Precinct. We'll walk up to the top of the street where we will view a little bit of the Maboneng history. There are various African restaurants, street art and the famous Maboneng sign where we’ll take photo’s. We'll then walk through local African street stalls selling paintings, clothing and local handmade merchandise. There are a few spots where we’ll stop and take photo’s as we make our way to a new local area called Jewel City where there is some beautiful street art. There are some rooftop bars where you can enjoy the views of our beautiful City of Johannesburg. Here you can decide whether to enjoy a refreshing local beer or cocktail and sit back and enjoy the view. Other things to note It is very normal to feel nervous for a photoshoot. The important thing to remember is to be yourself. Make sure you wear something comfortable and something you feel comfortable wearing.
Soweto By E-scooter & E-Bike
Explore the largest Township in South Africa known as Soweto (Southen West Township) home to two Noble peace prize winners on an E-scooter. Soweto is very big and to deeply understand the area's history and it current state one needs to really visit more place then just than just vilakazi street. On this tour, we will be covering Soweto how it should and the tour will be divided into three sections. History Art Culture The experience is designed to showcase the progress of the people of South Africa post-Aparthied while providing guest a deeper sense of understanding to why people have chosen to stay in this neighborhood 28 years later after Apartheid has ended... We will of course be visiting key landmarks in are like: Mandela's house Desmond Tutu Hector Peterson and other key people who played a role in South Africa's Journey to Freedom. The E-scooters will allow us to cover more ground and see more places in Soweto.
