Tea Ceremony in Hidden Vintage House
I will lead you to walk around my neighbourhood for a little bit before I start the experience. I will show you my collection & the interior design of my vintage house. Finally I will brew 3 different kinds of Chinese tea with a unique tea set and let you as my guests experience tea brewing as well . Chinese Tea Ceremony has the history of thousand years and has been practiced until now. The young Chinese generation in Penang is slowly forgetting about this important culture, they prefer to go to the cafe for western coffee but not traditional tea. The reason why I am doing this is to spread the beauty of the tea ceremony and how it can improve your lifestyle! At first, you will learn about the basic concepts by knowing the tools you need and how to create your personal style tea decoration. Second thing is to learn how to appreciate tea and how to behave during the tea ceremony. Next, I will show you the full details of my movement to brew a tea, I will tell you why I do all the movement and how you will taste the tea. Myself as a Professional Photographer i will also take some cool picture for you when you are brewing during the tea ceremony . Book if you love tea more than coffee Book if you love antiques & old house Check out more photos on my instagram @adieu_vielle Looking forward to host and meet all of you !
Discover Local's Favorites & Stories
This is a very personal style tour, it is started with the idea 'Your local friend always bring you the best', imagine to have a friend when you arrived to a new city, that's same as what I wanted when I travel. This tour is about communicating and making friends, as well as culture sharing and discovering. Unlike many traditional guided group that you can easily found in else where, I would not introduce you some places you would easily found on internet, and probably you won't learn too much knowledge of the formal history. This is cool for you, if you are ready to meet new friend, get some ideas of where to visit in Penang/Malaysia. I'm ready to share my experience and my life in Penang/Malaysia and I would like to hear your story too. We will meet in a brunch shop where we enjoy our food and get to know each other as well as share our stories of traveling and of course everything about Penang/Malaysia. Then, we'll witness and felt the soul and spirit of Penang in Little India and Clan Jetty where exemplary heritage way of living is showcased.

Discover Mainland on Your First Visit
“Oh you’re from Penang? Which part of the island? George Town?” If I had a dollar for every time I heard that whenever I tell people I’m a Penangite, I’d be able to travel the world for a whole year. The conversation usually continues with me telling them that I was from “the mainland”. Then it goes on with me explaining to people how there’s this whole other region of Penang on the other side of the Penang Bridge. Yes, located on the opposite end of the Penang Bridge is Mainland Penang, collectively known as Seberang Perai (previously Province Wellesley). It consists of Butterworth and Bukit Mertajam, two charming little areas that most tourists have never even heard about. Such is the fate of Penangites who live not on the island but in the obscure cities of its forgotten half. Since Penang Island hogs all the limelight, mainlanders get to keep their secret travel gems to themselves without having to deal with the hordes of tourists! We will visit the historical Bukit Mertajam Market, discover serenity at the famous St. Anne’s Church explore the rural Malay villages of Permatang Rawa and visit the Nine Emperor Gods Temple in Butterworth while giving some time for our stomach to digest to space up for more food and drink. Other things to note Let's enjoy !
