Tippek a helyiektől
Craigleith Provincial Park was established in 1967 by Ontario Parks. It is a recreation-class Provincial Park created to help preserve historic oil shale beach. Craigleith Provincial Park is a small park located between Collingwood and Thornbury on the southern shores of Georgian Bay
Between Collingwood and Thornbury, this park - although close to the highway, is a favourite spot for visitors looking for an easy drive and swim. Unlike Wasaga Beach, it's a shale rock beach, but all in all a very cool, relaxing setting.
Close to home, only about 5 minutes away. Walk along the shores, sunbath or have a swim - or all of the above.
The Georgian Bay shoreline at Craigleith Provincial Park offers some great ancient fossils for tracing. Bring some paper and a pencil and trace the lines of 450 million-year old fossils.
