For all of you who wish to celebrate a mass, enjoy a few moments of quiet contemplation in the shade of old pine trees, this is the place to go! Early mornings are most beautiful! This shrine is reminiscent of Lourdes and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Pilgrims flock there throughout the year especially on 15 August and 7 September.

The main western gate of Makarska, a small town under the Biokovo mountain, used to be the "Grand Gate". The Croatian Shrine Vepric is dedicated to the Mother of God Lourdes.The natural cave and the entire landscape with hills, grassy fields and streams resemble them alive in Lurd where Bernardici Soubirous 1858 showed the Blessed Virgin Mary 18 times. In this shrine there is a chapel with sacristy, a square altar, a confessional, a crossroads, a home for spiritual exercises, a procession course. Because of its natural beauty and silence, it is a beautiful shrine throughout the year, and the main pilgrimage dates are February 11, March 25, August 15, and September 7 and 8.
