Really nice walk by the river here Up close the point du Gard is hugely impressive. If you're lucky you can see it from the air as you fly in or out of Nimes airport.

The spectacular Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the first century AD to carry water to the Roman colony of Nemausus. It crosses the Gardon River near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard. The Pont du Gard is the highest of all Roman aqueduct bridges, and one of the best preserved. Definitely worth a visit.
