Ridge winery just north and west of Healdsburg has fantastic Zinfandels and their iconic Monte Bello Cab that did so well in the Judgment of Paris Tasting of 1976 (watch the movie Bottleshock if this reference is unfamiliar too you).

This really interesting rammed earth building has a large tasting room and lots of great wines to try. I like the Lytton Springs Zinfandel. The 3 Valleys Zin and Mataro are pretty good too.

Perhaps the most iconic winery in the US. The Ridge winey participated in the Judgement of Paris in 1976 and scored above many of the greats of France. This estate focuses on their Zinfandel, which has become an icon in its own right.
