Opened in a former woodworking shop in 1960, the café has helped to launch many of America’s best loved songwriters, ranging from Bob Dylan in 1961 to Sawyer Fredericks in 2014, with an amazing “who’s who” list in between. Upon the passing of founder Lena Nargi Spencer in 1989, Caffè Lena was converted to a non-profit institution supported by concert revenue, private and corporate donors, grants and bequests, and an ever-evolving team of volunteers. There's nothing like seeing a show at the intimate Caffe Lena! It's loaded with folk music history and continues to carry it forward by showcasing traditional, alternative, and cross-genre folk music. Reserve a seat on the couch if you're traveling solo and you're bound to make new friends. And, it's practically next door!

This is a small music venue with live performers. It is best known for folk music but they also have blues, jazz, klezmer, cajun, bluegrass, classical and a capella music. Tickets must be purchased in advance for sell-out shows.

Historical, oldest coffee house in America. Bob Dylan & Don McClain performed here. Very unique and has affordable world class performers come to perform in an intimate comfortable setting.
