Local coop with wonderful produce. On Thursdays they get a shipment of the very popular "Pliney the Elder" beer. They also have a particularly good cheese selection.

This little co-op always has fresh food but is a bit pricey. It's easy for a quick weeknight meal. But be warned: they don't sell any meat!

If you prefer organics and a small co-op atmosphere, this is a great little market in the artsy, surfer neighborhood 40 blocks west of here, by the beach. Make a morning of it and go to Trouble Coffee, AndyTown, ThreeFish Studio, Mollusk Surf shop and the beach.
