A lovely 13 mile walk or bike ride around one of the biggest man made reservoirs in the country. The seasons add different birdlife, colours and scenery. Fairly flat so feasible to hire a bike from near the Visitor Centre and go all the way round or stop at the Bull Public House and do a shorter loop.

A great place to visit for picnics, a complete round water walk or cycle, paddle boats, sailing, windsurfing, etc.. Restaurant on site.

13 miles of trails around the reservoir - that’s half marathon! Start from the Hopper Hut or park at the visitors’ centre and enjoy a hot drink and a snack before or after your walk. There is also a possibility to hire bicycles at the visitors’ centre. Get up early and enjoy the peace and quiet of the reservoir - how many birds can you identify?
