Closer lobster eats: Lunt’s Lobster Pound: When you need your lobster fix within the 1st 24 hours of your visit. You can order a lobster roll (hot dog bun with lobster meat piled on top) from the window and eat it at the picnic tables there.

Lunt's is one of the many lobster pounds along the drive into Bar Harbor & Acadia (on Route 3, just across from the Bar Harbor jet port). It's also one of our favorites, because it's really a 'mom & pop' shop ~ very friendly. They serve a wonderful blueberry ale (beer) and amazing lobster, of course, freshly cooked just outside the doors. They also have LOTS of Maine-themed stuff to purchase ~ trinkets, kitchen towels, Christmas ornaments, key tags, &c, &c. They have a kids menu, too! Great place!
