One of the most iconic buildings. Built during the Porfiriato and designed by Adamo Boari (same designer as for the Palacio de Bellas Artes).

It is located in downtown, near Palacio de Bellas Artes, it was built in 1907 when the post office became a separate government entity. It’s design was modern for the time and it has a beautiful staircase.

“The Casa de los Azulejos "House of Tiles" is an 18th-century palace in Mexico City, built by the Count del Valle de Orizaba. The building is distinguished by its facade, which is covered on three sides by blue and white tile (TALAVERA POBLANA) of Puebla. The palace remained in private hands until near the end of the 19th century. It changed hands several times before being bought by the Sanborns brothers .”

“Mexico City´s national art gallery. Great museum shops not to miss. The plaza outside is beautiful and there are a couple of cafés there where you can sit down and have a coffee and even eat something worthwhile (Girasoles and Eric Kayser have quality food). The museum has changing exhibits of pre-modernist art.”
