The Oporto School of Architecture is located in a kind of terrace, over a cliff, overlooking the river Douro, having in-between a road with much traffic. The architecture of Álvaro Siza plays constantly with this contextual space, and interacts with it, placing ahead of the road four kind of “towers” that protect the building as a whole, but separated from each other not to hide the scenery and allowing the building to breathe. One of his remarkable works :)
