Nice easy loop walk in beautiful surroundings. Along the way is access to several caves, though you will need to be prepared with the correct equipment if you wish to explore the caves.

Glow worm caves - you will need your own torch and be prepared to get wet.

⋒ Just 10 minutes up the road are these caves that are beginner - moderate. You will need to walk down muddy stairs and across a paddock to get to them. Make sure you bring a torch (head lamps are best) and be prepared to get wet. Cave Wetas do dwell in here :)

“The main attraction here is the kiwi house, but it also show cases various native lizards etc. This huge complex also includes several small museums, a planetarium, train rides and plenty of picnic tables. Entry is $20 for adults and $5 for children.”
