Black Creek Provincial Park ( or as the locals call it , Sandy Beach) is a family friendly sand beach on the warm waters of Lake Huron . Just a 15 minute drive from Lions Head along Stokes Bay Rd. Plan to pack your picnic and plan to stay for the afternoon and witness the breathtaking sunset view of Lake Huron.

This tract of shore land along Lake Huron, part of which is dominated by a beaver swamp, has a good beach for swimming. Park Facilities and Activities A parking lot and toilets are the only visitor facilities. Swimming and beach use are the main activities. Address: 81 Old Womans River Rd, Lion's Head, ON N0H 1W0

This beach is on the Lake Huron side which is warmer and has a sandy beach. Even dogs are allowed.

Fantastic and peaceful sand beach, great swimming with shallow access. Only 15 minute drive North of cottage make it a worthwhile place to spend a day. A hidden gem from all the crowds

20 minute drive. Sand beach with out houses. Better depth for older swimmers. Dogs aren't technically allowed but you will see them there.
