i love this hipster cult favorite for mexican -- you'll feel like you're eating at a mexican matriarch's house with all the statues of mary & jesus looking at you. great for dinner or brunch. the tres leches cake is to die for & the patio is great on a summer day.

i love this moody, cozy, casual bar/restaurant for a quick, low-key dinner. they have great paninis & appetizers. my favs are the garlicky artichoke dip & the fromaggio panini. ask what's for dessert too!

i love coming in here for breakfast to grab a smoothie & a breakfast muffin. lots of vegan & vegetarian options, mostly organic ingredients. the pancakes changed my life & the staff is super friendly.

this trail is in my backyard & runs alongside the milwaukee river. you can follow it all the way downtown to the riverwalk. i love it because you still have some views of the city, but mostly you feel like you're in another world, away from the hustle & bustle of city life.
