Sweet Potatoes is bright and positive though in an unassuming part of town. Their banana pudding is known worldwide and they are one of the few southern restaurants that is vegetarian friendly. My go-to for soul food!

As a vegetarian for almost a decade, BBQ is not something I normally eat but the best I’d ever had back in the day was in Sandfly (a small community out on the islands) and now they have a location right down the street! Located in the historic Streamliner Diner, they have lots of very authentic options and great people watching

Shit, yeah! One of the most unique spots in town, Zunzi's is somewhere you absolutely have to go for South African food with a southern twist! Very casual spot with counter service, their prices are amazing and their portions are extremely generous.

Everyone's favorite pizza in Savannah, Vinnie's serves by the slice as well as whole pies. It's super cheap and open late but damn good and you'll find yourself eating there a lot if you move here! Just remember, it's cash only.

American Legion Post 135 is truly a local bar and has one of the most diverse groups of bar-goers you'll ever likely encounter. With free pool, darts, and the cheapest drinks in town ($2 each!) it attracts all sorts of people. They also have amazing food via Betty Bombers!

The old Velvet Elvis Lounge is the best place to go see anything from a hard core punk show to a bouncing rock-a-billy get down and everything in between. Savannah's favorite music venue, be warned that they do play the music loud! Ear plugs might be good to bring along.
