The All-American Rose Selection (AARS) public garden is one of over 100 certified gardens within the United States. There are over 1900 rosebushes, with 500 varieties. The wrought-iron fenced garden has wide walkways with handicap accessibility, raised beds, a waterfall, and trees and shrubs. Several new rose varieties are planted each year, and after two years the highest-rated are named and receive the AARS symbol. Waterfalls, a lovely plaza area and a Koi pond make this garden design second to none.

Among the collection’s strengths in American, Mexican, and European art are Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces from the likes of Botticelli, Canaletto, and Van Dyck, as well as 20th century works by notable natives like Tom Lea. In addition, the museum hosts a robust schedule of temporary exhibitions. The museum school also offers diverse classes, hands-on workshops, and popular camps for adults and children alike.

The Hoppy Monk is a great bar and restaurant in El Paso. The outdoor seating area has a great atmosphere with the beer tapper fountain wall - so cool! Huge selection of craft beer. The burgers and tacos are the way to go in terms of food. I enjoyed the Lamb Barbados Tacos, and a friend had one of their signature burgers. You can order Boar's Head Bacon as a side - can't go wrong with bacon. Friendly service as an added bonus."
