Don Taylor (the tall guy in the trench coat who greets you at the door) serves up a hearty meal of eggs (mostly) and breakfast potatoes. Ask for Laura's Vegan dish if you don't eat animal parts (that's what I always get).

Beautiful oak woodland situated on the hill above Santa Rosa between Sonoma and Bennett valleys. Excellent hiking and mountain bicycle riding. Be careful when you hike however because mountain bicyclists enjoy virtually unlimited access (for now) and many travel quite fast on narrow trails.

The spectacular Sonoma Coast is virtually undeveloped due to the foresight and dedication of countless individuals over the decades. For one thing a group of people stopped a proposed nuclear power plant if the Bodega Head back in the 60s! You can still see the remnants of the initial excavation, now called the 'hole in the head.' Bring your hiking boots and hike the Kortum Trail along the coast, and check out the sheltered coves, the rugged surf, and the sea stacks.
