This is the most iconic lobster shack in Maine. Lines can be very long but totally worth the wait. If your looking for the ultimate lobster roll you've found your place. They put over a lb of fresh picked meat on each roll. The fried zucchini with blue cheese sauce is ridiculously good. You won't go wrong with any choice here. Deb the owner is one of the nicest people on the planet.

This is where all the locals go to get their seafood. The Gurnet works directly with local fisherman and get their fish straight off the boat. A great place to get order up some fried seafood too!

This is the best Farmer's Market every Saturday morning. There are always dogs and music not to mention the best local produce. We really like Hootenany's bagels and the coffee truck has great selections.

If your up for a wonderful drive to see some of the most beautiful coastline in Maine this is the drive for you. As you drive down rt 24 stop at The Gurnet Trading Co and grab a lobster roll or fried haddock sandwich. Continue your way down rt 24 until you get to the Cribstone Bridge to Baily Island the only one of it's kind in the world. When you get to Lands End, you can dip your toes in the ocean and take in the fresh breeze. The gift shop has wonderful locally made products.

If you like thrift shops this is the ultimate one. You never know what you'll find. Tuesday's is half price for College students and seniors and Wednesday is half price for everyone. I go there so much the staff knows me by name.

This brewery is crazy cool. They re-purposed the old shooting range on the now decommissioned Navy base into their tasting room. Unlike a lot of other breweries it is family friendly with great outdoor space. They have a constantly rotating tap list. For kids and people who don't drink they have a great local soda on tap.

Parks & Nature
This is by far the NICEST beach in Maine. If you don't go early, don't bother you won't get in. The parking lot is usually full by 10am. Be careful they can have some incredibly aggressive sea gulls. I saw one land on a persons head and steal their sandwich. You also have to watch out for the rip tides which can get pretty strong. There are great tidal pools for kids and the young at heart.

There are great tidal pools for kids and the young at heart.
It took five years before anyone told us about this spot - What is so cool is that you can drive directly on to the beach. If you have a low riding car like a Prius - don't go. There are also no bathrooms so keep that in mind.
