This place is the place Jimmy Buffet would hang out if he hung out in Port Arkansas. Saturday afternoon belt sander races- on the official belt sander track. - FUN! Best pizza around. Lower your expectations and go have fun with the locals! Not air conditioned, but the beer is cold.

Getting Around
Rent a big tire bike- it will change your attitude and latitude. Maybe it will change your life?
Hint #1 - ride into the wind first, then let the wind blow u back to where u started!
Hint #2 during October / November cruise around town and " liberate " citrus from local citrus trees- fill up the basket on the bike with " borrowed " limes , lemons, and tangerines.
Ride back to your place and make coctails!

This is an island of that is uninhabited. And has no motor vehicles- its about 70 miles tall and one mile wide. Wanna escape crowds? Go to the harbor and catch the Ferry to "St Joe's island . The Ferry runs hourly. This is not a resort destination. This is the Texas Coast the way La Salle saw it in the 1500's. Primitive . Excellent shelling. Also you will be alone. Plan accordingly.
