Food Scene
Blue Hill has some excellent dining options. You’ll find a large farm to table movement in our area that makes for wonderful fresh meals. I have noted some of my favorite things to eat at each restaurant, however feel free to ask me more if you need add’l info. Our local restaurants are very accommodating to those with food allergies, so please be sure to let them know.
For those of you traveling from Southern Maine and arriving after 7 pm, I would recommend stopping in Belfast for dinner. In Belfast we recommend Satori for amazing sushi. Nautilus is down on the waterfront and you'll get the true Maine working waterfront experience. For the ice cream lovers pop into Wild Cow Creamery and get some Lemon Heaven!
This is one of our favorite restaurants on the entire Peninsula. We enjoyed takeout at Brooklin Inn over the winter. It was amazing and we knew the in-house dining experience wouldn't disappoint. In the summer dining at picnic tables is lovely and great if you have kids. The indoor upstairs dining has a cool yet charming vibe. If the bar dining is your style then we suggest the downstairs pub. The menu is the same no matter where you choose to dine and make sure you take advantage of whatever signature cocktails are on the menu. It is all fantastic! Recommend reservations.

We fell in love with Fin and Fern pasta in our local grocery store. Their restaurant in Stonington is worth the drive. Lobster Ravioli is a must! The menu caters to all tastes and the spot can’t be beat. Highly recommend reservations!

We love our trips to LDI Lobster. Our friend Annaliese and Matt have done a fantastic job with a true Maine picnic experience. I am a big fan of the Tuna Ahi Sandwich. Feel free to bring your own alcohol and enjoy it on the picnic tables.

Humblebee has been a great addition to Blue Hill. We love to grab a sausage, egg and cheese on a real biscuit and an iced coffee (the ice cubes are even made of coffee)!

The Fish Net does not disappoint for a good lobster roll or crab roll. Maybe you’ll even see Martha Stewart…she pops in once a year. Oddly enough a hot dog from The Fish Net seems to always hit the spot (we joke that it is because the condiments are under the hot dog)!

Blue Hill "The Town"
Blue Hill is a fun place for all to visit. Our only advice is to call ahead...the streets roll up in Blue Hill around 8 pm. You'll want to make sure your restaurant choices are open on the day you call. This summer has been challenging for many of the restaurants in the area so many of them are working with limited menus while they ramp up their staffing.
