Changkat Bukit Bintang has often been likened to London’s Piccadilly Circus and New York City’s Times Square. An avenue on which a large number of KL’s most popular bars and restaurants can be found, it is a trendy place that is great for pub crawling. It is actually located just behind Jalan Bukit Bintang, so it's very easy to get to – particularly if you are staying in the Golden Triangle area. It can get very busy here, especially during the weekends and public holidays. The buildings are unique because they used to be pre-war, colonial shop-houses that were refurbished and turned into upmarket pubs and restaurants – most of which serve western food. A short walk away is Jalan Alor

Sipping cocktails on a helipad with 360° views of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic skyline while watching the sunset? There are plenty of things that wow us when it comes to Heli Lounge Bar. First, there is the concept – a helicopter pad turned nightlife hotspot is definitely one of the coolest things we have seen or heard of in Kuala Lumpur in recent times. Secondly, there is the theme, with everything in the lounge aeronautically-oriented, like a booth made from the converted side panel of a Boeing 737 and a Boeing-747 turbine turned into a DJ console. Lastly, Heli Lounge Bar’s little-known status will make you feel like you are part of the super elite when you visit.

Food Scene

Jalan Alor is a unique food destination in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The whole character of the city changes when you step onto the street. Gone are the modern shopping malls that align the city, which are replaced with something of the past age. During the day, there is not much activity but when the sun goes down, the street will be hustling and bustling with activity. It was once known as a red light district and remnants of those activities still exist. However, after several face lifts, the street has literally become a food haven.
