Here are my favorite restaurants in town.
Quick notes
- Basque food is pretty unique to Bakersfield and will give you a different experience than you will get in most cities you visit.
-Luigi's is my absolute favorite lunch recommendation Tues-Sat.
-My next lunch recommendation that's a little easier on the wallet but has the best tacos in town is Tacos de Huicho's! One of my first stops when I return to town.

Another great Italian restaurant in town. If Uricchio's is busy, this is the next best thing! The salmon with candied walnuts is amazing.

If you want a taste of something that is unique to Bakersfield and our Basque influence, this is it, you want to go to Wool Growers. For the full experience you'll want to order the set-up and your choice of entre. Food is served family style and it's just a great experience for a group. It's also a 7 minute a drive from your suite but not downtown.

It's also a 7 minute a drive from your suite but not downtown.
Mexicali Downtown is a Bakersfield staple. Family owned and home of the iconic Cactus Sign. It's really hard to order anything wrong off the menu. Everything is good.
*Best chips and salsa in town
Again looking at a 7 minute drive, 2.5 miles from your suite.

631 18th StreetMexicali Downtown is a Bakersfield staple. Family owned and home of the iconic Cactus Sign. It's really hard to order anything wrong off the menu. Everything is good.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in town, is here, La Costa Mariscos. The Enchiladas Del Mar are my go to (if you like sea food).
Very close to your suite, only 1.7 miles away. Great cocktails as well for those 21+.

Luigi's is an Italian delicatessen and just so happens to be the place where everyone brings their out of town family to for lunch, because it is just THAT GOOD!
They're only open for lunch Tuesday- Saturday.
They're tri-tip sandwich is my 100% go-to. Never had a better tri-tip sammy in my life. However, any of the pasta and/or steaks are incredible.
*This place is so good, it's why my wife and I chose to get married and had them cater it. We're a little biased ;)
