For a nice dinner out, Chatham Bars Inn has a beautiful lawn for cocktail hour and several on-property restaurant options to dine al fresco or inside air conditioning. Views are incredible and food is fresh, bright and seasonal from their farm.

Fun excursion for adults and kids! With several farm stands on-property the farm is a fun place to shop fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers and locally made items. It's a beautiful space to walk around, take photos and with events throughout the summer a great place to check out during your vacation.

Very close to the house, Chatham Perk is great for coffees, grab and go breakfasts and to pick up sandwiches on the way to the beach. Very casual with some seating available inside.

Located right on Main Street, Chatham Cookware is offers coffee all day, breakfast sandwiches in the morning and a great variety of prepared foods and lunch sandwiches to grab and go. They have a small outdoor seating space in back that is first come, first serve as well.

My favorite place to eat in Chatham. The restaurant is very casual but has outdoor picnic tables, a large food selection including fresh seafood, beer and wine and they also do take out!

For a fancier night out, Wequassett Resort offers several restaurants on-site. Outdoor bar and restaurant offer beautiful views but make reservations in advance to ensure seating. Wequassett is also less than three minutes from the house making it one of my favorite places.

Chatham Squire is an institution in the town and has been here a long time. Good for fish & chips, lobster rolls and other basics – yummy fries!

Popular ice cream spot in the next town over, Harwichport, MA. Great variety of flavors, toppings and homemade whipped cream. Very popular local spot so expect to stand in line in the high summer months. There is limited picnic table seating but plenty of parking.

As the closest beach to the house, Jackknife beach is the best for families looking for an easy activity. Bring beach chairs, coolers, fishing nets and water shoes because there are so many activities available. During the summer you can catch crabs, spot horseshoe crabs, go clamming and of course, build sand castles. Parking is free but can fill up in high summer. Unfortunately no facilities but since it's only one minute from the house it's easy to go back and forth if needed.
