This place is a bit more upscale but the food is awesome! I've had the Lamb, Filet and Prime Rib and everyt dish was off the charts. Also service is excellent here!

Great little hang out. about a 7-10 minute walk from the house. Really nice place to sit and relax. Pro-tip if you have a tasting make sure you buy a bottle for yourself to enjoy at the house otherwise the tasting is $20/tasting. Unless you are a wine club member.

Otherwise you will be waiting for the next wine in the flight to taste and you'll die of thirst...LOL It gets busy at times, best time to go is mid day during the week to avoid crowds. Weekends are crowded.

I took my homecoming date here many years ago. The only thing that's changed is the price! LOL After it was featured in teh movie SIDEWAYS, the place has been attraction to many visitors. Celebrities like to visit as well. But the steaks are pretty awesome. Pro-Tip, if you just want the steaks and avoid all the hassle, the original is in the town of Casmalia, however it is about a 35-40min drive from the house.

This is a great first step on your wine tasting adventure, for me it doesn't have the best wine but the grounds are really nice, great place to have a picnic. And its very close to the house about a 5 minute drive. I always take my guests there when they visit. Also just follow the Zaca rd out and hit every vineyard onto Foxen Canyon Rd, you can't go wrong here.

I'm a bit bias with this recommendation, because this is my family's restaurant. But this is the best Asian food on the Central Coast. It has a mixture of Laos, Thai, and Chinese food.
The Orange chicken is quite famous, try it and you'll know why. Perfect sweetness and tanginess and texture is crispy and cracks when you bite in. My kids personal favorite and my mom's recipe.

I grew up in the area, and this town is one of the most fun places for tourist and people looking to explore the Central Coast. The town has so many great places to eat especially for breakfast and brunch. However, be prepared to stand in line for at least 30-40minutes on weekends. Lots of shops and fun things to do here!

Sightseeing
I grew up fishing this lake since I was a little boy. The lake levels are low compared to when I was younger but still it offers some really good fishing, Catfish, trout, crappie, and bass is what I go after. You can also rent boats to cruise around the lake. I love this place!

This area is fantastic for a quick day trip from the house. Its approximately 30 minute drive South on Hwy 154. This area has a lot of hiking and swimming holes up and down the river. Very popular spot, pro tip go early and stake out your spot!

Closest Beach to the House, this is a nice excursion. A place I used to hang out as a teenager, but its great for families.
