The pub has a massive garden out the back with barbecues and open air cinema in the summer, as well as a terrace at the front - the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. One of our favourite local hostelries.

The Congress Theatre and Towner Art Gallery have full and varied programmes throughout the year and of course Devonshire Park is famous for the LTA pre Wimbledon tournament.

The 16th century farmhouse is now open to the public for exhibitions and events. You can also visit the house and gardens or head to the cafe Caccia and Tails for a bite to eat.

Sea swimming
Tide Mills is the closest place to go sea swimming and is between Newhaven and Seaford. The is a small car park and a short track you can walk or drive part of the way down which takes you to the beach. Sometimes there is a coffee truck for a warming brew!

The 123 Bus travels along the end of the road and will take you into Lewes Station in 12 minutes, or in the other direction to Newhaven, Peacehaven and Saltdean.
