Beaver Creek is a Mountain Ski Village in Colorado and is home to the Beaver Creek Resort, with ski runs, terrain parks and cross country routes. In the summer it offers a hiking center. The Vilar Performing arts center with live theatre, concerts and comedy. There is also a children's theatre that performs.
Elevation is 8,080'.
Beaver Creek Resort is known as having the best Black and double Black bump skiing in North America. This resort is also excellent for beginners as it has many easy slopes.

Altitude Sickness is Real
If you are coming from a state that is below sea level or has a low elevation, you may experience Altitude sickness your first day or two, especially on top of a mountain. There are remedies to help with this general feeling of being "hungover". Get hydrated before you come and drink fluids with electrolytes. This is one of the best ways to feel better but also decrease your chances of feeling crummy. Gatorade or the Liquid IV packets will be a big help.

Bring Lotion and Chapstick
Something happens to the skin in Colorado where all the moisture is sucked out of your body. Make sure you pack Lotion and plenty of Chapstick because you will need it. It wouldn't hurt to pack some eye drops too. We have a humidifier in the Condo to help combat the dryness.

There are shuttles everywhere
Cars are not necessary if you are staying in town because there are shuttles that take you to the resorts. The shuttle is a two minute walk outside of the Condo Parking lot.
A specific updated shuttle schedule will be posted soon.
If you want to go to resorts further away it would be ideal to drive because the shuttle times can be long. Vail is only a 10 minute car ride and Copper Mountain is 30 minutes away by car.
