You have to get special tickets to get in to the White House at the visitors booth near the capitol or get a special invitation from a senator or some other higher up person. It is beautiful to see both day or night.

They have great salmon and great appetizers. They have a great atmosphere. Pizza is good too. Serve alcohol and wine.

Eating is believing. Pasta Plus is the best authentic Italian food on the East Coast! It doesn't look like much on the outside but once you get inside you will have the best Italian food ever! Warm freshly made bread. Excellent house salad. Fine wines.

Getting Around
Off the Washington DC beltway about 20 minutes from our house. Trains leave very frequently to DC. They run late, especially on weekends.

Morning departures, and last train back is about 7:20pm. Does not come back late.

It's a beautiful place! Lots of room to walk around! You could have a picnic on the grounds in the warmer months. Many times you can watch the frisbee throwers and the joggers.
