Most people in D.C. don't even know that this is minutes away from where they live! When I first discovered this, I was in awe at the sheer SIZE of these falls! There are many hiking trails around, but you can honestly just park your car and walk 5 minutes to see the falls (seriously).
It costs $10 per car to get in, and you want to go EARLY or you might be waiting in a car line. If you have a National Parks Pass, they accept this instead of the $10!

This is an AMAZING place to watch locals AND AIRPLANES taking off/landing at Reagan National Airport! The tarmac is literally yards away from you, so you'll hear and see the planes fly RIGHT ABOVE your head RIGHT BEFORE THEY LAND! Have a picnic, get some great pics, and enjoy the greenway!

George Washington Memorial ParkwayThis is an AMAZING place to watch locals AND AIRPLANES taking off/landing at Reagan National Airport! The tarmac is literally yards away from you, so you'll hear and see the planes fly RIGHT ABOVE your head RIGHT BEFORE THEY LAND! Have a picnic, get some great pics, and enjoy the greenway!
