The Vintgar Gorge (Slovene: soteska Vintgar) or Bled Gorge (Blejski vintgar) is a 1.6-kilometer (0.99 mi) gorge in northwestern Slovenia in the municipalities of Gorje and Bled, four kilometers northwest of Bled. Carved by the Radovna River, it is the continuation of the Radovna Valley. The sheer canyon walls are 50 to 100 meters (160 to 330 ft) high, with a total slope measuring about 250 m (820 ft). The stream has created many erosive features such as pools and rapids, and terminates in the picturesque 13 m (43 ft) Šum Falls (literally, 'noisy falls'), the largest river waterfall in Slovenia. A medieval castle is standing watch over Bled. Definitively worth a visit. The entrance fee is a bit pricey and is currently 10 EUR per person but the view makes up for it. It's opening hours vary depending on the time of year. There is a restaurant.

Mary Help of Christians Basilica (Slovene: Bazilika Marije Pomagaj), the largest pilgrimage church in Slovenia and national shrine of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana. The present-day Neo-Renaissance church building modelled on the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in Assisi was consecrated in 1900; it replaced Mary Help of Christians Chapel in the 15th century St Vitus parish church which had become a major pilgrimage site in the 19th century. Mary Help of Christians Basilica is also the monastery church of a Franciscan convent established at the site in 1898. The church plaza was laid out according to plans by Jože Plečnik. Getting Around
Radovljica is a public transportation hub. From there you can grab a bus or train and go to Ljubljana. There are also regular buses to Begunje na Gorenjskem where the accommodation is. The bus from Radovljica to Begunje takes about 7 min. When traveling to Begunje make sure you exit on the main bus station that is located inside the village and NOT on the bus station located next to the ELAN store.
