Places we love to visit around St Merynn.
Beach
Treyarnon Bay:
This beach is smaller than Porthcothan and in summer is the most popular around, this means you might be hard-pushed to find a good spot when it is peak season. For me, this is the main con of the beach and why I usually would prefer going to another one. A highlight of this beach though, is that it does have a YHA youth hostel a few minutes walk from the car park. There is a sea pool to enjoy when the tide is out. There, you can have an evening meal enjoying [if you’re lucky] an incredible sunset over the ocean. During the day, there is a shop, and a hatch selling the BEST churros around [and other things but for me the churros are the big plus]. You will need cash for parking between May and October.

Constantine is a very large stretched beach, and when the tide is out you might be lucky enough to find a little pool which has been warmed by the sun. The is a cafe, parking and a coffee truck. Lifeguarded beach. Amazing kite surfing on a windy day.

Hawker’s Cove is my personal favourite, because it has such beautiful views of Daymler Bay and Rock Beach over the stretch of the Doom bar. High tide is the perfect time to go swimming here, but if the tide is out it is quite a trek to get to the sea. This beach has very little if not no facilities whatsoever, all it has is a small cafe a little walk up the coastal path with ice lollies and lunch. If you fancy an ice cream without the walk on your way home you can enjoy some traditional ice cream from the en-route farm shop. Free parking at top of hill or paid at the bottom field. No lifeguards here.

Walking from this beach to Trevose Head lighthouse is a lovely walk, lots of scenery and the view of three beaches when you reach the top; Treyarnon, Constantine and Booby’s

Great place to wander and fill up your tummy with pasty, icecream, fish and chips and fudge!! Be warned everybody likes it, so if crowds aren't your thing avoid at peak times! Great for bike hire on the Camel trail to Wadebridge and beyond!
