You won't even need to get into the car to do this flat hike. It's about a 3-4 mile round trip walk from the condo. You'll be guided by the shoreline to the northern most point on the island. Start near the helicopter pads at Turtle Bay, there will be signs along the way.

About 5 miles to the top and back down. Enjoy this switch back hike with spectacular views along the way. You're likely to see whales around March!

Enjoy this moderate / steep climb up the mountain for an incredible view. Proper hiking shoes or sneakers will help when hiking on the dry dirt and steep trail. Careful of slippery mud during the wet season.

Beach Time
We've listed a few of our favorite beaches. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about the best places to surf, swim or free dive. Jamie and Erin love the ocean and have spent countless hours along the North Shore beaches. Jamie has been surfing the North Shore for 20 years and is happy to recommend the best wave for you, depending on what you're looking for.
There are a couple places to hang out on the beach near Turtle Bay Resort. There is a beach in front of Roy's Beach House restaurant that is protected and a safe place for kids. There is also a beautiful beach just past the Helicopter pads.

An iconic, culturally impactful, and famous bay with a beautiful beach. Great for snorkeling and swimming. If you're lucky, you'll see spinner dolphins in the summer. Waimea Bay is also home to “The Eddie,” a premier event in the world of surfing.

There is a parking lot here, lifeguards, and showers. This is also home to Pipeline - one of the most incredible waves in the world during the winter months (November - March). You'll be able to feel the magic of the North Shore here. You can walk for miles along this beautiful coastline.

You'll be able to feel the magic of the North Shore here. You can walk for miles along this beautiful coastline.

Perfect stretch of coastline to walk, play, and stay for the day.
A beautiful beach to sunbathe the day away. Easy sandy access to jump in the water and go for a swim. Summer months (May - September) usually flat as a lake. Winter months (November - March) expect to see the famous Sunset wave that can be 25 ft tall
