Modes of transportation
If you’re arriving with a car, Indianapolis is usually a pretty traffic-friendly city. The main highway around town is I-465, with all of the other interstates jutting off of it. To check for real-time traffic information, be sure to use the Google Maps app.
If you’re arriving without a vehicle, both Uber and Lyft
Redline
For a cheaper option, be sure to check out the Red Line, Indy’s new rapid transit system. The Red Line runs from Broad Ripple all the way through Downtown Indianapolis, making it simple for you to take a trip downtown without needing to worry about traffic or parking.

Date Night
In town for the night and hoping to have a romantic evening? We recommend heading downtown for dinner and drinks at the Slippery Noodle Inn. This historic restaurant exudes so much awesome energy, and you’re sure to love the live music. Afterwards, head a few blocks north and check out Monument Circle, where you’ll find the Soldiers & Sailors Monument. Wander around the circle and check out some of the shops, and maybe stop by Tastings to sample some wines and grab a bottle to bring back with you.
You know what pairs well with wine? Chocolate! And you know who has chocolate on deman

Outdoor Adventure
Ready to stretch your legs after sitting for the whole journey here? We’ve got you covered! Before the sun sets, you still might have time to check out Broad Ripple Park! Take a stroll along the White River, and if you’re traveling with kids, let them work off some of their energy on the playground.
After you’ve exercised a bit and burnt off some calories, we recommend refueling with a stop at Kilroy’s, right down the road.
Grab a sandwich, or better yet, carb up on their famous breadsticks.

Family-friendly fun
Now that you’ve settled in, you’re probably starting to get a bit hungry. Since you’re coming from out of town, it’s a safe bet that you’ve probably had your fair share of fast food in the last 24 hours. Why not try something a little bit nicer for dinner?
We recommend heading out to The Old Spaghetti Factory. What kid doesn’t love slurping up noodles and chowing down on fresh baked garlic bread? They have a number of different options on the menu, so even picky eaters are sure to find something they are sure to love!
