A short nature trial of wooden planks that goes over the limestone cliff leading to the secluded "private beach" of Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas from the rest of Ao Nang. It may be a "private beach" but it's also open to the public. Lots of monkeys at certain parts of the day, hence the name.

This is a serious hike that takes about 2 hours uphill. Visitors must register at the ranger post at the start of the trail for safety. To get here, you'll need your own transportation or hire a driver from Ao Nang.

Lost much of its charm after renovation when you are seated in little bamboo huts around the open kitchen with an atmosphere filled with the aroma of Thai food in the air. Now it is a counter at the front and tables on the upper level. Still unpretentious, inexpensive and tasty though.

A little off the beaten track and you'll definitely need transport to get here with it being on the outskirts of Ao Nang. However, if freshly baked bread and pastries is your kind of thing then it may be worth the effort after all.
