Sightseeing
The historical Camp Pena Colorado, also known as the Post Park. It is located 5 miles south of Marathon. To get there take Ave D and it continues as Post Rd . It is a beautiful tree shaded park and a great place for bird watching, picnicking, and you can even try your hand at fishing in the spring fed pond.

Our local grocery store is a great place for coffee and a place to pick up a few groceries or unique personal items. There’s a nice selection of big brim hats to shade you on Big Bend hikes. Check the marquee to find out if any fun food or music events are happening.

night is "Hamburger Night" in the backyard and often there is music on the weekends, too. If you want to hang out with the locals this is the place to be! There are several different choices for hamburgers and they serve homemade chips.
