Townsville Council has installed a toilet block at the new carpark at the commencement of the Forts Walk.
The Road to Radical Bay has been locked off and cars no longer have access, walking is the only way into Arthur, Florence and Radical Bays.

A great trail from Arcadia to Nelly Bay which starts only a short walk from the Townhouse. Best done early in the morning, and provides a beautiful view of Cleveland Bay from “ The Sphinx” lookout which is a short detour off the trail. Take plenty of water, and wear a hat. Local bus can be caught back to Arcadia from outside “Amaroo Hotel” , down Mandalay Road.
A new trail heads to The Forts and Horseshoe Bay after the Sphinx Lookout. The intersection is well marked. Bus can be caught back to Arcadia from The Forts or Horseshoe Bay.

Sooning Street Nelly Bay. Good food, they cater for special diets, kids love the Pirate ship decor, the owners put on fire-twirling and acrobatic displays on some nights.. you'll see them advertised on their notice board. Generally open from 7am to 2pm.
