Best fried chicken torta in the city. They even do a Chik-fila rip off that is very accurate. I prefer the media picante salsa myself. Try the baked beans. Yummers. Lots of places to eat in this food court, so you can go with your picky friend and all find something. Only thing I don't recommend is the Burger Market. It's all costco food and nothing special.

Upgraded fonda (cafe) with typical mexican dishes, good service, and a hipster atmosphere. Love their chiliquiles.

Food scene

Special stops out of the price range of many locals - but definitely worthy of a foodie and cheaper than most metropolis eateries in the world.
Considered the best bread you'll find in Mexico City and a lovely eclectic space to dine in. I go there often for treats like cinnamon rolls or baguettes. The baguette with ham and butter is amazing. It can be quite the scene on weekends.

I took cooking classes in Bangkok and this is the closest I have gotten to those flavors in Mexico. Please note there is a thai restaurant named Galanga which is the same chef but pure thai. This is on the pricey side for locals - a drink and entree will cost 300 pesos plus tip. Still cheaper than thai in the USA and far better than average USA thai. FAR FAR BETTER.

Neighborhoods

This is a diverse zone that includes Zona Rosa (the gay zone), a hipster element, and a zone of government offices/schools. It has a lot to offer. Check out this article for the poshness and you begin to understand this zone has a huge range of offerings. https://www.vogue.com/article/an-insiders-guide-to-colonia-juarez-mexico-city . Közlekedés

Transport from Airport

From the airport, there are taxi services, but you will pay twice as much. I recommend using Uber.

Cell Services

Do you have international data? Great. If not, I totally recommend getting a sim card in the airport for 200 pesos. You will see signs all over "se vende sim". Data is cheap and it will make your life so much easier here to have access to Uber, maps, and VERY important whatsapp. Everyone uses whatsapp here and I communicate easily with it as well.

Bathing products

Guests leave things behind all the time, so there is a shelf with leftovers in the bathroom. Faramcia Guadalajara is on the other side of the street. Nothing fancy, but save your space and weight in the bag and buy those things here.

Festivals

CDMX is loaded with cultural events. I can make recommendations based on when you are staying here. Generally, I can send links to WhatsApp if you are using it to respond at the moment based on where you are. Follow my face book page for Proyecto Residencia and I will post events that are happening during your stay there.
