This plaza has great Thai/Vietnamese restaurants. I strongly recommend two restaurants: Exodus and Chez Fleur (both on a corner of the Plaza)
Not the closest to the property but it’s worth it and still very accessible with public transport or bicycle .

This is Izakaya, a great Japanese place to eat lunch at. Go early (12pm or before) to try the Bento Menu, it’s a must eat!
It is also available for dinner but at a higher price point and you need to make reservations.

This is « My Tannour », lebanese/syrian food, very popular in Ixelles, just next to Flagey, good budget eats, you can look at the bread cooking process which is very entertaining, service is fast and friendly. Cash only.

If you like old cars this museum has a massive collection! It is located in Parc du Cinquantenaire, a very pleasant park to hang out on its own, just next to the European Commission.

This area called Sablon gets its name from the amount of sand (sable en français) present in the ground. There is a lot of history to it.
This gothic church is splendid, I totally recommend to go visit. Free entrance! Also go to the very nice park with statues of craftsmanships.

If you are interested in architecture this is a must see. These Horta houses are all over Brussels but this is the house where Victor Horta used to live. He is a famous belgian architect who was leader of the movement of Art Nouveau (19th Century).
