If you have kiddos...note that they do NOT have a children's menu, but Crosscut does allow folks to bring food items to add to a kids's plate (ie. milk, fruit, veggies).

Salto has the best coffee in town and good breakfast sandwiches. It's also a decent spot for lunch (tacos & burritos). We love the atmosphere, and they have lots of events like live music, featured artists, an tap-takeovers. Also conveniently located in the same building as Tin Shed (bike shop).
Just a few things we love:
- Fireplace with comfy lounge chairs, perfect for a rainy or snowy day
- Outdoor patio with seating fire pit
- Clean and modern/rustic atmosphere
- Events (check their website)

Absolutely the BEST baked goods in Boulder County (croissants, muffins, etc.). And really good burritos as well.
Small and has a hippy vibe. Even if you aren't into the hippy vibe...the goods make this place worth it.

Absolutely lovely people who run this restaurant. If you dine in...it feels like you're in Nepal.

There really is no other place like this and it never gets old! So unique, so fun, and so cheap (they just raised their rates to $2/ride).

Great place to go as a family. Plenty of parking at the park but you you can walk on a trail next to the creek from the main visitor's center.
Picnic tables, shelter, playground (swings, slides, sandpit), Children's Fishing Pond.
You can also walk to the reservoir...cross the bridge...and watch the skateboarders at the skateboard park.

You can also walk to the reservoir...cross the bridge...and watch the skateboarders at the skateboard park.
Perfect gift shop: fossils, geodes, toys. It is a funky little place with price tags that range from 10 cents to $8000. Definitely worth a visit :)
