This Guidebook will assist on your visit to Nassau. Many of these places are my favorites and will help round out your trip
So there are few things here to help with your stay.
There is a grocery store
A John Bull Shop for perfume
A couple of clothing stores
A Dairy Queen, Dominoes Pizza and Subway
A sports store
Starbucks
Wine and Spirits
If you are walking please use Bay Street as there are no sidewalks on Shirley Street heading East

Walk along the Harbour and see some of the most beautiful ships

The Pirates of Nassau is fun exhibit - Attached to it is Smugglers Restaurant where you can get a traditional Bahamian Breakfast or solid North American Fare.
They have good coffee and the waffles and crepes are good as well

Great Bahamian Food and British Dishes as well.

The Seafood Potpie is the best
This is a very good restaurant with nice offerings it is more on the expensive side but has Bahamian fare and a really nice atmosphere
It is beautifully done with both inside and outside dining. Detailed menu on their website.

I haven't been here but it is within walking distance of the house is always packed and the people seem really happy so we say give it a try

You can walk over to Paradise Island and take the Blue Lagoon Island Excursion.
This is a really great day trip - The beaches are lovely and it is a nice way to spend the day.
Swing by the main house for the Yeti Bag or Picnic Basket and take with you.

Of course there is nothing like Atlantis and Aquaventure. This is another fun filled day lounging, soaking up sun or try the lazy river.
A bit pricey but very nice day.

Ok I know going to KFC in The Bahamas sounds crazy! But let me just say this if you have never had KFC in the Bahamas you are missing out.
I don't know if it is the chicken, the water, the oil but in the Bahamas the KFC just tastes different. So just try it and let me know what you think.

The Rum Cake Factory is within walking distance of the cottage and everyone loves it.
The cakes are small enough for you to take home to family and friends.

Not too far from the house is Junkanoo Beach you can spend the day here, rent a chair grab a bite to eat and around 3:30PM you can watch the cruise ships navigate their way out of the harbour.
