Rey and I have traveled all around the United States and overseas due to military commitments. During travel we always try to seek out locally owned places that offer great food, drink, and service.
Pennies is in walking distance of the bungalow. Go early for the tamales and barbacoa, get there by 11 for the brisket and chocolate banana pudding, and expect to have them run out of the main dishes by 3. Only open Thursday through Sunday, this local favorite is sure to quench your need for Texas BBQ.

If Starbucks just doesn't do it for you, try our local favorite MOD coffeehouse. MOD is locally owned and operated with a variety of baked goods, sandwiches and wraps, as well as specialty coffee.
For coffee - try the "Just Trust Me," a blend of the baristas favorite syrups to make a delicious latte.
If you like hummus, get the hummus! It's delicious!
When it comes to baked goods there aren't many places on the island that can compare. My favorite is the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie... I swear you'll be addicted and crave it!

You can paint a mug before your cruise and pick up when you get back!

For an amazing cup of Joe or Latte, try Red Light Coffee Roasters! They bring in breakfast tacos from a local Mexican Restaurant - the croissants are delicious - but really, my favorite things is the coffee! All of their syrups are made in house! The mocha is to die for!
