Located behind an unassuming little house in ix-Xaghra, on the island of Gozo, you’ll find one of the most unusual caves in Malta, Ninu’s Cave. Discovered by local resident Joseph Rapa, the cave is accessed via a steep set of stairs inside a private family home. Guided tours are usually taken by a member of the family, who, for a small fee, will point out all the interesting geological features of the cave, such as some impressive stalactites and stalagmites.

With parts of the original décor intact (including mosaic floors and antique furnishings) this is a great place to while away an evening.

Standing securely on the edge of a steep incline, with the rope disappearing off the edge to the bottom somewhere beneath you, your nerves are on full alert. As you lean back and commence your descent adrenaline is pumping furiously around your body and the feeling is intense!
As you continue your descent the excited feelings turn into relief and happiness at overcoming your initial fears and being in control while descending in such a stunning atmosphere. Our longest abseil is over 75m all the way to a small beach below...amazing...but of course we start you off on shorter routes .

Review Amazing experience! Definitely recommend Bluewaves Watersports. There are plenty of other options that take you around the island and to the Blue Lagoon, but these guys are awesome and their smaller speedboats allow you to experience an adrenaline ride as well as be able to take the boat into the caves where the bigger boats cannot.
We booked a boat tour ahead of time and it was amazing. The entire crew was friendly and had a great attitude. When we booked, it was recommended that we arrive an hour early to make sure we didn't miss our time slot. I was worried we would wait around, but when we arrived (early), the team offered us a paddle-boat with a slide to pass the time.

The offshore exciting race kicks off in the beautiful clear waters off the capital city of Valletta. Unique for a race of this length in that it starts and finishes in the same place, the 606-mile route starts in Malta’s magnificent Grand Harbour and also ends there. This race runs by incomparable scenery and is a true challenge to skippers and crews who have to be at their very best to cope with the often unpredictable and tough conditions.
